Using Credible Witnesses in California.

A credible witness will take an oath or attest to the following facts in regards to the document signer in order to serve as a credible witness.

Oath of a Credible Witness.

“I,   credible witness name do swear or affirm to know the signer before me as document signer’s name.    

I am confirming the 5 following facts to the Notary:

1. The signer is named in the document.

2. I personally know the signer.

3. The signer does not possess a qualifying identification document.

4. The signer’s circumstances make it difficult or impossible to obtain a qualifying identification document.

5. I am not named in nor financially interested in the document.”
